Well, now that elections are over it's time to focus on the problems at hand again. There is so much going on and as a community we need to address as much as possible as soon as possible.
CRA & BOCC meeting agenda is available at this link:
Tonight 7pm Zoning meeting commissioner’s office
Monday 26th 3pm CRA meeting commissioner’s office.
They will be covering capital projects, affordable housing & architectural design updates. Tuesday 27th 9am BOCC in the commissioner’s office. If you can, PLEASE SHOW UP and help to shut down the Brightline train station for Stuart.
**As of now, the 450-vehicle garage is being replaced by a 200-vehicle surface parking. The parking is already congested, this will be adding considerable strain to the area affecting businesses. Brightline will not be making frequent stops in Stuart, therefore why are we allowing them to waste taxpayers’ money to build a station? Enough is enough.
The new interlocal agreement removes the requirement for Brightline to pay 50% of the stations cost leaving that bill on Martin County taxpayers. That’s YOU.
Again, we as a community need to stand together and oppose the financing and construction of this Brightline station.
NOW, they are starting up with the golf courses in Jonathan Dickenson State Park. Are they diverting your attention away from the Brightline station so they can pass it without notice? Who knows, but they BOTH need to be stopped!
Meeting for JDSP is on Tuesday the 27th at 3pm- they said the meeting does NOT include a question / answer period. Hmph.
Location of meeting: The Flagler of Stuart 201 SW Flagler Ave, River Room Stuart.
(Wonder where we are all going to park?)
Meeting for Rocky Point Neighborhood Restoration is Wednesday 28th @5:30 At the Port Salerno Civic Center.
Twin Rivers Park, is a perfect example of staying ahead of the game. We posted on social media for everyone and e-mailed the county about the design and construction months ago. Until recently, after the horrible design is accepted and scheduled for construction are people speaking up. We can't keep doing this, it's not helping our community stay strong. Stay informed, stay ahead.
Also, it’s very wise to check out the CIP. We realize it may seem overwhelming due to the length but there is so much they are sneaking in.
We don’t know about you, but we are sick and tired of the wolves in sheep’s clothing, tired of all the lying and sneaking. This is OUR community, and we need to take it back!
I'm not sure if we stressed enough, our community needs to stand together and stand strong. We need hundreds of voices heard and e-mails sent to the commissioners.
SAVE OUR SALERNO STRONG!
