SOS just received this information. We need our community to speak up! If they take our CRA, they take our voices for OUR community!

You should know that two bills are going through state legislative committees now that will abolish any CRA projects that are not underway by July 1, 2025. They also have other provisions that will affect the Port Salerno NAC to a much lesser degree, but essentially, if passed, the state also will not allow new CRAs after July 1 and will be ending all CRA programs by 2045. 

They are Senate Bill 1242 and House Bill 991. Here are the links:

I believe the bills must clear three committees before going to the floor for a vote, and they've cleared only one (I think) thus far on a 3-2 vote. So hearing from the public would likely be effective.
