And the abuse of power continues...

Dear Port Salerno Residents,
It has come to our attention that the Martin County Board of County Commissioners is considering dissolving yet another vital community committee—the subcommittee responsible for selecting public art for the new Mooring Facility in Port Salerno. This follows previous actions that have planned to diminish the roles of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) and Neighborhood Advisory Committees (NACs), effectively reducing community input in decisions that shape our neighborhood.
The proposed elimination of the art subcommittee threatens to sideline the voices of local artists and residents in decisions that impact the cultural and aesthetic landscape of our community. Public art is more than decoration; it's a reflection of our community's identity and values. Removing local input from this process undermines the very spirit of community engagement and transparency.
We urge you to take a stand:
Email the Commissioners: Let them know you oppose the dissolution of the art subcommittee. Send your concerns to: comish@martin.fl.us.
Attend the Next Public Art Advisory Committee Meeting: Your presence matters. Meetings are held at the Commission Chambers, 2401 SE Monterey Road, Stuart. Monday 5/19 at 4pm, directly following the CRA meeting which starts at 3.
TOGETHER, we can ensure that our community's voice remains integral in shaping the future of Port Salerno.
