Affordable Housing Committee Meeting @ BOCC

Low-Income Housing Committee meeting, which I had the opportunity to attend on behalf of Save Our Salerno (SOS).

It was encouraging to see diverse representation at the meeting, with insightful contributions from public attendees, including a representative from DCF advocating for affordable housing for children aging out of foster care and a member from the Council on Aging highlighting the struggles faced by seniors in the area due to the high cost of living.

The shared concerns underscore the broader issue that many locals, not just the elderly, are grappling with the challenge of affordable housing. It is our hope that the committee's efforts will lead to meaningful solutions that allow residents to remain in their local communities.

We are hopeful that the public will continue to attend and address the critical issue of affordable housing in our community.
